Trying to find out if there is any risk to my family from the radiation in the seed implants, and if so what are they?
When having brachytherapy seed implants is there any risk to my family?
According to the link below the radiation only extends a few mm. I personally would think the risk to your family are extremely low.
However according to the article it is recommended to avoid "prolonged and close" contact the first few months with children and pregnant women.
Note that it saids studies show that spouses recieve no additional radiation.
