How long is the recovery time for molar implants?

I am having 2 molars implanted into my jaw next week. It is a 3 step process, the first step being screws drilled into the jaw. Has anyone had this done before? How painful and what is the recovery time?

Since you'll be numb, you won't experience any pain, but maybe pressure..... and the noise from the implants being placed into the jaw is 'different', that's for sure.

As long as your body doesn't reject the implants, you'll be fine. A healing cap will be placed over the implant until the bone and surrounding tissue have healed.... most oral surgeons/periodontists in my area recommend waiting six months for 'step 2' for maximum healing time.

Best of luck!
Reply:Putting implants is not at all a painful procedure. It will be done under local anesthesia. So you wont even know it.

Initial recovery time is 2-4months atleast. But you wont experience any problem in that duration. So dont worry.
