I currently have a bridge supporting a false front tooth. Its fine but would like something a little more natural.
How much are dental implants in Thailand?
Dental Implant is a permanent fix and is a long-term solution. It is also good for the jaw / bones. The doctor may do x-rays and other tests to see whether you are the candidate for dental implants.
Many people go to other countries like Thailand, India and Mexico for their dental implants. The implant cost savings are 50% to 80%. You may even get cheaper rate at other places.
Though cost is the primary criteria, you may need to give importance to quality. There are internationally accredited hospitals and USA / UK trained doctors in other countries. It is a good idea to work with companies like Healthbase who specialize in researching foreign hospitals, do onsite visits and arrange the booking and dental travel. They charge only very small service fee. And they do not mark up the price. Healthbase is located in MA.
Their website www.healthbase.com has cost comparison for dental, cosmetic and medical procedures across countries. Healthbase also provides FREE cost estimate and arranges all the necessary booking with the hospitals, travel, accommodation and even sight-seeing. More importantly, they focus on not just low cost but also high quality. Healthbase works with internationally accredited hospitals (like JCI / JCAHO / ISO accredited) and doctors who have trained in USA / UK. Their website is simple, easy to use and has detailed profiles about the hospitals including pictures and videos, doctors and medical procedures. It is just an one-stop-place.
Good luck in your dental implants! Happy New Year!
Reply:Hey fish - I have a friend who I think paid as little as like $30 for the same thing - - My dentist is certainly more expensive and his is the cheapest in the galaxy - usually not more than $5 a visit.. so, I guess it depends on where you go... There are several on Sukh. near Prakanong - good luck
Reply:Dental implants cost between 40,000 Baht and 75,000 Baht depending on where you go. I have NOT had implants, I have used Bangkok International Dental Center on Ratchapisek Road for cleaning and fillings and they do a good job. It's a brand new center just opened January 2006. They are close to where I usually stay about a 10 minute walk from the Huay Khwang station on the MTA subway.
The other one I listed Bangkok Smile or www.dentalthailand.com has 3 locations. Ploenchit Road, Sukhumvit Soi 21 and Soi 63. They are much cheaper but the prices listed are discounted to 12/31/06. I don't know the regular prices.
I have also included www.thaiwebsites.com, search under Dental implants and it will give a listing of other dental clinics that can do implants.
Good luck.
Reply:Dental and Dental Implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
