I thought implants last forever........? I heard you have to replace them after a certain amount of time, what happens if you dont change them?

I don't know who told you they last forever, because Plastic Surgons are supposed to tell you that you will need to have them replaced every 10-15 years





Saline:


Saline is notorious for "bursting" between 8-11 years. This causes the breast to "deflait". Not a fun side effect





Silicoln:


Silicoln has been know to leak around the 9 year mark. Silicoln can not be absorbed by the body, so it will not deflait. It will stay in the breast pocket with the implant. As you know the FDA has not found enough solid evidence to tie Silicoln implant to health complications. That is why it was put back on the market
