Is it a legal requirement for breast implants to be removed before cremation?

Hi - I am conducting some research on this topic and am interested in finding out more. Would also be interested in whether it is a legal requirement in some countries but not others. Am also interested in opinions from anyone in the cremetoria industry on breast implants - should they be removed before cremation or are they ok and do not cause any problems.

Thanks

No, they do not need removed. They pose no threat to the cremation chamber. The ones used today are saline, which is just salt water, and even if they are silicone, the temperature is 1800 degrees, therefore they would simply burn up.
Reply:I haven't found any legal requirements, and I'm sure that if there are any it varies from state to state - but I have found that the crematoriums are experiencing problems with them as they do leave a residue that has clogged the gas jets in several instances.
Reply:I doubt it. Most of the new ones use a saline solution, not silicone.
