My friend got breast implants. How long does it take for them to heal after the surgery?

My friend git breast implants around the 20th of December . She has told me that it takes a while for the breast to heal and for the implants to fall into place. How long before she can wear a regular bra and what does she mean when she says the implants have to fall into place?I know her doctor told her that she had to massage her breast everyday. How long does it take before her breast will be the way they will look. I just want to know the normal time period that it takes to heal up and what they mean when they say that the implants have to finish dropping. I thought that once the doctor placed the implants in and stitched her up, thats the way she would look? Please just explain to me because I am just a normal guy and I feel stupid because I dont know what is going on when she talks about it.

It usually takes 3-6 months with implants placed "under the muscle." This is the time for the tissues around the implants to stretch and accommodate them. The implants over this course of time "settle" to a lower position within the breasts and look more natural.
Reply:they take about six weeks to heal and feel normal. as for the falling into place part its just another term for gravity to take hold, so they drop and look more normal
Reply:relax! she will be extremely tender for a few weeks all fo us women are different. they are placed in a higher position and Willl slide down a fraction. ask her about it? If wil flatter her and you will get a education.

P.s you are a very considerate friend to have!
Reply:When the doctor speaks of the implants "falling into place", he is simply referring to the effect that gravity has on them, and they will indeed slide a bit once the swelling that results from the insult to the tissue goes away. As for how long it takes to heal, each woman is different and each heals at a different rate, some being fine after six weeks, some taking as long as six months to heal up.
